The town of Espadilla, with the river Mijares at its feet, is a perfect place to enjoy the crystal clear waters that will allow you to spend a refreshing morning in the natural pool of the narrow Chico river. After bathing, you can also visit its botanical garden where you will find a great diversity of trees and shrubs, and it also has different trails where you can discover caves such as Corral Blanco, Morrón, Ereta or El Río Pequeño.
A morning stroll through the symbolic village of Tales will take you to its enigmatic cultural tradition of Dolçainers and Tabaleters (traditional Valencian band). Among its streets you will find a cultural tour from El Portalet, passing through its streets of Arab origin to its Ethnological Museum. Nor can you forget to visit its 12th century castle, which served as a strategic point of defence.

Over Christmas, Sueras celebrates “Un poble al Carrer”, a festival that tries to commemorate the ancient customs and traditions of the town. This ethnological exhibition, where the inhabitants take to the streets and set up different stalls, serves to honour the memory of their ancestors and ensure that those customs and traditions are not lost through history.
The ceramics of Ribesalbes are one of the key points hidden in this municipality of the Sierra de Espadán. Through the various workshops that are located in the town, you can go shopping at stores such as J. Albalat Artistic Ceramics. Another of the key points to visit is its Casa de la Baronía, where numerous pieces of ceramic art and one of the most impressive collections in Europe are hidden. We also recommend that you try its traditional almond cake, which you can buy from one of the local bakeries.
Around 3 kilometres from Fuentes de Ayódar is El Pozo Negro, one of the most beautiful and symbolic places in the Sierra de Espadán.
