Plan your getaway enjoying the van life

The trend to travel by motorhome or camper van is increasingly on the rise. Carrying the house on your back can be a success for many travellers who love more rural destinations. If you are one of those who enjoys living the van life, this post is for you.

The town of Sueras is our starting point. This town is located in the center of Espadán Mijares and has a municipal area where you can spend the night and have all the necessary services: 220 V electrical connection, drinking water intake, connection to the sewage system for emptying gray and black water, public toilets., etc.

From there we can travel the entire territory in search of the plan that most appeals to us. We propose some options:

If what you would like is to spend a few days of tranquility and rest, do not forget to visit the town of Aín, one of the most beautiful in the area. Stroll through its cobbled streets and discover the Benialí Castle, cataloged as an Asset of Cultural Interest, its 17th-century Parish Church and other buildings of historical relevance such as the Calvario hermitage. You can also enjoy the nature of Espadán-Mijares by taking the easy route to the Pozo Negro, located halfway between Fuentes de Ayódar and Torralba del Pinar, in the heart of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park. During the route, which is only 2 kilometers long, you will enjoy several natural springs and wells, as well as a landscape full of pines, cork oaks and holm oaks. To complete your stay of relaxation and disconnection, we suggest a picnic day on the banks of the Mijares River, a unique natural setting in the town of Espadilla.

Pozo Negro

If, on the contrary, you have an adventurous spirit and travel by van in search of adrenaline, do not miss the opportunity to go canyoning through the different possibilities offered by the municipality of Argelita: the Manzano, Quiles, Chicharro or Buitrero ravines. Many vanlifers are great lovers of climbing. If this is your case, the Vallat area is a must, whose profile with a multitude of needles, channels and spurs crossed by lines of metal sheets make it one of the most attractive. Rafting down the Mijares River is also a good option, due to its white water stretches with rapids that offer more fun and excitement when descending. And, if you are looking for a unique experience, discover the different caving options in the area, both vertical and horizontal as well as aquatic.

Barranquismo

Discovering Espadán-Mijares with the house in tow has endless advantages. Of course, if you decide to visit us with your campervan, don't forget to be respectful of the environment and leave the green spaces just as you found them when you arrived: the planet and the neighbours will thank you!
