Our traditions and celebrations: Mancomunidad’s Day and festivities for San Antoni Abad
If we like something in Mancomunidad Espadán - Mijares, it is to celebrate; so much so that we are not even overlooked celebrating our brotherhood, at the beginning of June, with the “Mancomunidad’s Day”. This festival is linked to the "Feria de Espadán-Mijares" in which different events related to trade and tourism are held. It’s, in short, a complete conference dedicated to leisure, crafts, active and rural tourism and an experiential journey through our origins and history.
All our rural towns have a great diversity and together they make up an incomparable tourist offer that always deserves to be honored and discovered. Exposing each and every one of our tourist, cultural and gastronomic attractions is one of our main objectives since as a natural setting we have a lot to offer until we become a benchmark for an inland tourist area.

It’s precisely the festivities in honor of San Antoni Abad that coincide and unite all the municipalities of our Mancomunidad. Celebrations of great value held in January and in which we invite you to meet and enjoy some key moments such as the blessing of animals and the distribution of rolls, a sweet recipe very attached to the gastronomy of Castellón and whose ingredients you can get to know first-hand hand through our gastronomic guide.
We also encourage you to live the moment when, at nightfall, bonfires are lit in honor of the saint and after hours, some residents of municipalities such as Torralba del Pinar, Toga and Argelita use the embers to make local meats and sausages together with all the residents and visitors of the town. Without a doubt, a unique way to take home a good memory of your visit to our charming towns.
